When and where is the wedding?

It’s the 28th of February of 2026 at 7.30 pm at Abades Triana.

What time should I arrive?

We aim to start the ceremony at 7.30 pm sharp so please aim to arrive 15 minutes earlier.

How do I RSVP?

Just drop us a line at [email protected]. If you haven’t done so already, please also use the opportunity to tell us if you or your +1 have any dietary requirements or accesibility needs. Please RSVP before the 20th of December of 2025.

Is there parking at the venue?

Not directly at the venue, but there are several private car parks within a 15 minutes walk.

Is Abades Triana the venue for the ceremony or the reception?

Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at the same venue, Abades Triana.

What does “dresscode: formal” mean?

For men, a suit and a tie. For women, a long formal dress or a cocktail dress.

Can I bring kids?

In principle, we have not planned for the presence of children due to the wedding taking place in the evening. However, feel free to reach out to us to discuss.

Can dietary requirements be accomodated?

Of course. Please let us know at [email protected]. If possible, do so before the 20th of December of 2025.

What kind of meal will be served?

It will be a high variety of small plates, which you will be able to eat standing or seating down. There won’t be assigned seats or set menu. It should be the highlight of the evening as Abades is renowned for the high quality of their food.

Will there be an open bar?

You bet.

Do you have a gift registry or prefer cash contributions?

Either is fine, but in the case of gifts we gently ask you to arrange delivery to our UK address when you buy them. Please see Gifts for more details.

What is the timeline for the day?

7.30pm: Ceremony starts.

8.30pm: Dinner starts.

10.30pm: Dinner ends.

11pm: Open bar starts.

3am: The wedding ends.

Will there be an after-party or brunch the next day?

Possibly, watch this space.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

You can.

Is there a wedding hashtag or photo sharing link?

Please use #mpwedding if you upload any photos to social media. We will also arrange a photo sharing link.

What is the weather like that time of year?

It will be around 20 degrees Celsius maximum. The venue is a mix of outdoors and indoors, and during the night outdoors it might get a bit chilly since we will be right next to the river.

Are there any cultural or religious customs I should know about?

No special customs, just celebrate with us! This will be a civil ceremony, so there are no religious traditions or formal rituals to follow. The ceremony will be brief and straightforward, after which we will enjoy food, drinks, and dancing.

I don’t know a word of Spanish, what are the essential phrases I need to survive?

  • Otra cervesita, miarma: Good sir/madam, can I please have another beer?
  • Ole, ole, ole, y el que no diga ole que se le seque la hierbabuena: I am so happy for these guys.
  • Qué pasa, cabesa: How do you do, my good fellow?
